The Exchange Program That Started It All
Between 1986 and 1990, our founder Billy Higgins organized transformative exchange programs that brought approximately 300 children from Southill, Ireland to Boston. These three-week visits included stays with host families and educational visits to Boston University.
The program helped young people from disadvantaged backgrounds recognize opportunities beyond their immediate circumstances, creating lifelong connections between Irish and Boston communities.
Today, we continue this legacy by focusing on education and supporting children with special needs in Ireland and Boston. In Southill, we help boxing and running clubs, and we're always looking to broaden our reach to help children wherever the need is greatest.
