Boston boost for Limerick school
Special thanks to William Higgins Ins and Arbella Ins. A SOUTHSIDE school has received a festive boost – thanks to the generosity of its Bostonian benefactor.Billy Higgins was at the Southill Junior School to present a cheque for $7,500, which will be matched by the regenration program and used to develop its after-school facility.Mr Higgins has been fundraising for the Southill community since he first visited in 1985, and was stunned by the generosity of the people here, when he brought visitor s to Limerick for a holiday.

Southill Children s Fund donated a generous cheque of $10,000 to the Southill Junior School
The funds are specifically used for personnel cost incurred in running the after school clubs. The clubs run three afternoons for the younger children and four afternoons for the 6 to 8 year olds. It is crucial to the activities, and will give Southill Junior School the ability to employ personnel with appropriate skills and talents to delivery quality service for the kids of Southill, Limerick.
